Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a 3rd Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for checking the work order and blueprint of the parts to be manufactured, ensuring daily production goals are met. You will be engaged in machine setup every day, stand and load metal sheets into the Brake Press, and form and bend the metal to specifications. Additionally, you will operate various equipment such as Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, and more. Growth opportunities are available within different departments, particularly in the Fab department.

Responsibilities

+ Check work orders and blueprints to confirm daily production requirements.

+ Perform machine setup tasks daily.

+ Load metal sheets into the Brake Press and operate it to form and bend metal as needed.

+ Operate additional equipment, including Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, and others.

+ Visually and physically inspect each metal piece for specifications and defects.

+ Use micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and blueprints for accurate measurement and operation.

+ Lift and handle weights of 40+ lbs daily.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

+ Experience in machine operation, specifically with micrometers and calipers.

+ At least 1 year of experience operating a machine.

+ Knowledge of Laser, press brake, tig welding, punch press, and CNC.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1 year of experience running a press.

Work Environment

Work in a large facility on the 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning, with expected overtime of 5-10 hours. This is a Contract position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
