Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our production process, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. You'll be responsible for preparing pigments and bases, recording operational data, and ensuring the quality of production runs. You will also be reimbursed for purchasing steel-toed and static-dissipating shoes once converted.
Responsibilities
+ Set up machinery including extrusion machines, blenders, and mixers as per assigned parameters.
+ Prepare pigments and bases for upcoming runs.
+ Record operational data on computer-controlled machinery and specified forms.
+ Clean and disassemble mixing and bonding equipment.
+ Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers.
+ Monitor production runs to detect defects or deviations and make minor adjustments.
+ Transport finished products to the shipping warehouse.
+ Continuously improve productivity and reduce scrap.
+ Lift up to 50lbs, potentially handling 20 boxes per hour if machines run non-stop.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of machine operating experience.
+ Mechanically inclined with experience in setting up machines and basic troubleshooting.
+ 1+ years of experience in quality control.
+ Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with powder coating preferred.
+ Experience with blenders, mixers, and extruders is a plus.
+ Basic computer skills.

Work Environment
Our facility manufactures coatings for various industries, including automotive and military. You will work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment with organized layouts and large employee breakrooms. The facility has six to seven production lines and offers a clean and dust-controlled workspace. We seek reliable and mechanically inclined individuals who thrive in a dynamic setting and can learn quickly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $22.25/hr.
