• Production Mechanic/Operator

    SFS Group USA, Inc (Wyomissing, PA)


    We are seeking a skilled Production Mechanic/Operator to run, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and machinery in our manufacturing facility in Wyomissing, PA. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and a solid understanding of safety and preventative maintenance practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Setup, operations and loading of machinery.

    + Reading, Releasing and confirming work orders.

    + Utilizing SAP system to match work order to items being manufactured

    + Performs material handling tasks including reading and understanding KanBan replenishment system.

    + Serve as a flexible support operator, ensuring continuous machine operation, assisting with repairs and helping other operators with machine adjustments as needed.

    + Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.

    + Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs.

    + Install, adjust, and calibrate machinery and equipment as needed.

    + Respond quickly to equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

    + Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

    + Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.

    + Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

    + Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.

    + Good communication and documentation skills.

    + Ability to work independently and within a team.

    + Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs regularly.

    + Comfortable working in a noisy, industrial environment with exposure to machinery and occasional temperature fluctuations.
