Primary Function
As a Production Technician, you will work in support of the seamless execution of live and hybrid events across the
company’s Event Studios, premium Event Centers, and digital platforms. Leveraging your experience in video, audio, lighting, and integrated AV/IT systems, you will collaborate with the Production and Event Operations team that brings the company’s events to life.
In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in real-time, contributing to the flawless delivery of hybrid, in-person, and digital events. Your ability to blend client-facing communication with technical know-how
will ensure the team remains a trusted partner in delivering impactful and engaging experiences for global audiences.
WORK LOCATION
Hybrid: in-office, or venue 3+ days per week
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Setup and test complex event spaces to facilitate in room and livestreamed productions, understand signal flow and verify correct operation ensuring they meet the standards to support production.
+ Anticipate and resolve technical issues to deliver flawless events.
+ Support multiple operational positions as part of a multi skilled production team including PTZ cameras, video switching, digital audio mixers, graphics and video playback systems, in-room displays and PA systems
+ Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams of all sizes to deliver the highest possible quality productions and events. Partner with Engineering to report issues via ticketing tools and to support the maintenance and lifecycle management of spaces and equipment.
+ Provide outstanding customer service to clients, conduct pre-event consultations, communicate directly on events to explain the optimal technical and show solutions for clients to achieve results
+ Ensure show technical operations adhere to the company’s internal policies for both remote and in- person attendees, guaranteeing a professional and engaging experience for everyone
+ Contribute to special projects, including the integration of new tools and the design of innovative technical solutions for unique event needs
+ Promote and actively engage safe working practices during event setups and operations
+ Embrace ad hoc duties as needed, contributing to the overall success and evolution of our dynamic team
+ Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
+ Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-
+ technical stakeholders
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment with shifting priorities, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
+ Demonstrated proficiency in operating a range of installed AV equipment, including Ross Ultrix/Carbonite, Barco E2, Panasonic PTZ cameras and Yamaha digital audio mixers
+ Working knowledge of networked AV/IT systems, including LAN/WAN hardware, signal flow, and IP-based collaboration tools
+ A proactive, self-starting attitude with a genuine openness to continuous learning and growth
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics, signal flow diagrams, and CAD drawings
+ Excellent troubleshooting for live events, ensuring minimal disruption during technical issues
+ Flexibility to manage special projects, remote assignments, and after-hours events as needed
+ Must be proficient in Google Workspace
Education & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, Audio/Electronic Engineering, Media, or a related field preferred
+ (or equivalent technical training with relevant experience)
+ 3+ years’ experience in large scale event and corporate settings
+ Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS preferred
+ Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in media technologies
