    About the role

     

    As a **Senior** **Cypress** **Automation QA** , you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust automation frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions. You will be a valued member of the **Quality Engineering** & **Assurance** team and work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality applications.

    In this role, you will:

    + Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript.

    + Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and ensure data integrity.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand enterprise tech stacks and develop automation solutions.

    + Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and provide actionable solutions.

    + Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes, tools, and best practices.

    What you need to have to be considered

    • Overall 6 to 8 yrs. of QA experience with

    + Around 4 years of experience in test automation development using Cypress and TypeScript.

    + Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.

    + Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.

    + Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

    + Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Experience participating in code reviews and contributing to testability improvements.

    + Exposure to enterprise-level tech stacks and large-scale automation projects.

    • The annual salary for this position is between [$53,477/- to $92,500/-] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

    • This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
