    Special Education Teacher | $40–$42/hr | Full-Time | Behavioral Support | Carlsbad, NM | Oct 2025–May 2026

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two Special Education Teachers to support middle and high school students in a specialized behavioral classroom setting at the Carlsbad Enrichment Center in Carlsbad, NM. These full-time, in-person roles begin October 13, 2025, and run through May 29, 2026, offering a competitive rate of $40–$42/hour.

    Position Overview:

    + Location: Carlsbad Enrichment Center, Carlsbad, NM

    + Start Date: October 13, 2025

    + End Date: May 29, 2026

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday

    + Hours: 37.5/week (approx. 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Interview: In-person preferred

    Classroom Details:

    + Grade Levels: Middle and High School

    + Setting: Specialized behavioral classroom

    + Caseload: Details provided during interview

    + Classroom support provided

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral support to students with IEPs

    + Collaborate with general education staff and participate in student program planning

    + Provide tutorial assistance and consult with support teams

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid New Mexico PED teaching license (required)

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
