    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for an AWS Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients sitting onsite 2-3x a week in Jersey City. They will be joining the Technology Services Group on their App Engine team. This team manages the banks cloud compute provider which is heavily built on prem using Hashi Corp that will eventually be migrated onto Red Hat OpenShift. This team creates Kubernetes clusters, sets up tools for monitoring and logging that are integrated with the firms policies and then once the cluster is ready various teams throughout can deploy their applications using the clusters. On a day to day you, this person will be responsible for

     

    -Managing and administering AWS public cloud Kubernetes cluster compute.

     

    -Configuring authentication, routing, logging, monitoring, storage, and networking components for the cluster compute.

     

    -Collaborate with DevOps and develop GitOps/CICD pipelines for automating patching, maintenance, and vulnerability fixes.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -6+ years of hands on engineering experience with AWS and EKS

     

    -Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Cluster Management and Operations: creating, configuring, upgrading and administering Kubernetes clusters on VMs/BareMetal

     

    -Use of Linux and knowledge of Linux system internals, storage & networking fundamentals -Prior OpenShift experience

     

    -Use of Terraform
