Summary:

• This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to PTME and delivering New Model Powertrain Programs. We are seeking a passionate, purposeful and customer centric leader to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer.

Job Description:

• Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and Gears systems for new powertrain programs in southeast Michigan and Ohio.

• Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint..

• Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.

• Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.

• Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, tooling, and gauging.

• Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput.

• Travel up to 100% to SE Michigan and Ohio Manufacturing Plants during equipment installation and launch.

Compensation:

$35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Job Description:

• Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint.

• Lead equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants.

• Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.

• Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.

• Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging.

• Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput.

• Travel up to 100% to SE Michigan and Ohio Manufacturing Plants during equipment installation and launch.

Compensation:

$35/hr to $40/hr.
