    **PDS Tech Commercial** is hiring **Gas Meter Exchange Technicians** to support an Energy Aged Gas Meter Project in the Nashville area. This long-term opportunity involves field-based gas meter installations and safety inspections. If you’re mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to work outdoors, this is a great chance to join a high-impact utility project with full training and support provided.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Read and remove existing residential gas meters

    + Perform gas leak tests using company-provided equipment

    + Repair leaks and build gas meter loops

    + Install new gas meters and replace regulators as needed

    + Conduct final meter tests and document installations using a handheld device

    + Shut down and relight gas appliances safely

    + Identify hazardous or abnormal operating conditions

    + Communicate professionally with utility customers

    + Meet daily installation goals and maintain high safety and quality standards

    Required Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Ability to pass a pre-employment MVR check, background check, and DOT PHMSA-compliant drug screen

    + Physical ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours/day in various weather conditions

    + Ability to use hand tools requiring upper body force up to 30 lbs

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

    + Adherence to all Federal, State, and Local driving and safety regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in natural gas field service operations

    + Prior experience installing or repairing gas meters

    + Familiarity with technology, computers, and software programs
