Chevron is accepting online applications for the position **Packaging Engineer** through **October 12, 2025** at **11:59 p.m.** (Central Time).
The Packaging Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing packaging systems and processes for lubricant products. This role ensures that packaging operations meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards while supporting inventory control and cost management.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
+ Develop and maintain packaging specifications for various lubricant products (e.g., drums, pails, quarts).
+ Coordinate with operations to ensure packaging materials are available and meet quality standards.
+ Manage projects to upgrade and/or replace packaging equipment systems.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to packaging equipment and materials.
+ Collaborate with supply chain and procurement to manage packaging suppliers’ selection processes and inventory.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in packaging operations.
+ Role may require travel (up to 40%) to Chevron lubricant packaging facilities and suppliers across the US.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and plant control systems.
Relocation Options:
