Job Description:

Ideal candidate: PHD or M.S. with some experience (Academic or professional), cell culture & molecular biology experience.

The Department of Oncology Research is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to contribute to the discovery and progression of small-molecule therapeutics.

The successful candidate is expected to make major scientific laboratory-based contributions to the group goals and present their results in internal forums.

Top 3 must have skills:

+ A strong skillset of standard cell and molecular biology experimental design and techniques (e.g., mammalian cell culture, western blotting, molecular cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, etc) and data analysis (e.g., GraphPad Prism)

+ Research experience in cancer biology, genetics, or related field

+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

+ Nice to have: track record of research independence, strong track record of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

+ Experiments, record keeping, data analysis, and presentation.

+ Minimal meeting burden.

+ Primarily a lab-based role.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Doctorate degree OR

+ Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant scientific experience OR

+ Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ A strong skillset of standard cell and molecular biology experimental design and techniques (e.g., mammalian cell culture, western blotting, molecular cloning, qPCR, flow cytometry, etc) and data analysis (e.g., GraphPad Prism)

+ Research experience in cancer biology, genetics, or related field

+ Flexibility to work in teams to achieve changing project goals and meet timelines
