The Phlebotomy Tech Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the phlebotomy team. This position ensures high-quality patient care, adherence to safety and compliance protocols, and efficient specimen collection processes. The Lead works collaboratively with lab staff, providers, and administrative personnel to support optimal laboratory operations.

Qualifications
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
+ Experience: Three years of relevant phlebotomy experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: Certification by ASCP, ASPT, AMT or NHA (New hire and/or new phlebotomist must obtain certification within 6 months of hire; required.
+ Additional skills required: Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results. Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff and the public. Ability to follow written protocols. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate clearly.
