    About the Role:

    We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, creative and commercially minded lawyer to support our Procurement Legal functions. As the premier provider of commercial real estate services, CBRE combines commercial relationships, industry-leading property volume and technological solutions to support internal and external activities.

     

    As Counsel on the CBRE Procurement Legal team, you will partner closely and collaboratively with the procurement team and internal stakeholders regarding a diverse set of engagements and solutions. The primary focus will be effective and efficient negotiations, expert guidance and risk assessment.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Review and negotiate documents and review for compliance with CBRE’s requirements and various statutory requirements.

    + Agreements of focus include supplier Professional Services, Software as a Service, Software, Products and Events.

    + Understanding of intellectual property ownership terms, deliverables, liability-related concerns, confidentiality provisions, privacy requirements (such as DPAs) and information security measures.

    + Provide legal counsel and guidance to managers, executives, and employees on legal aspects of various business lines.

    + Represent the company during contract negotiations.

    + Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

    + Possess a wide understanding of own field and some understanding of various fields within the function.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

    + Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

    + Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

    + Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

    What You’ll Need:

    + J.D. from a top-tier ABA accredited law school.

    + Membership in applicable State Bar in good standing.

    + At least 3 - 5 years of practice and transactional experience with an emphasis on supplier agreements.

    + Excellent writing and oral presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with both executive management and line business providers and to build strong personal relationships with management.

    + Highly developed professional judgment with a “can-do” attitude of a practical business attorney.

    + Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, work short deadlines when required and set appropriate priorities with excellent follow-up skills and organization.

    + Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.

    + Ability to work flexibly in and out of a formal office environment.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Counsel, Procurement position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Counsel, Procurement position is $130,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
