Required Skills:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Design core, backend software components.

2. Code using primarily Python, Hack, C/C++, Java and PHP.

3. Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.

4. Conduct design and code reviews.

5. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

6. Set direction and goals for the team regarding project impact, product quality and engineering efficiency.

7. Lead major initiatives, projects, teams, roll-outs and phased-releases.

8. Helps onboard new team members, provides mentorship and enables successful ramp up on your team's code bases.

9. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

12. 2. Relational databases and SQL

13. 3. Conducting design and code reviews

14. 4. Object-oriented software development

15. 5. Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques

16. 6. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

17. 7. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple commands

18. 8. Building highly-scalable performant solutions

19. 9. Algorithms

20. 10. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting

$219,585/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
