We’re looking for a passionate and drivenHR Generalistto join our Human Resources team and help us continue fostering a positive and engaging work environment.

     

    The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations including employee relations, benefits administration, payroll backup and recruitment activities. This position will serve as a key contact for employees ensuring HR policies and processes are communicated clearly and implemented effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    Employee Relations

     

    + Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.

    + Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees and managers.

    + Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Director of HR when appropriate.

     

    Benefits Administration

     

    + Manage benefits enrollment and administration via Employee Navigator.

    + Perform monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices.

    + Process employee leave requests (FMLA, PFL, disability, etc.) in compliance with state and federal regulations.

     

    Payroll & Compensation

     

    + Serve as backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing.

    + Assist with the annual wage increase process, including data entry and tracking.

     

    Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

     

    + Post open positions within Paylocity and other job platforms.

    + Source, screen, and coordinate interviews with candidates.

    + Plan, coordinate, and attend career fairs, trade school visits, and recruitment events.

    + Promote Haun Welding Supply as an employer of choice during external events.

    + Track recruitment activities and report on effectiveness (hires, candidate flow, ROI, etc.).

    Requirements

    + 3-6 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.

    + Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits, and leave administration.

    + Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity and Employee Navigator preferred).

    + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
