Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Arnot Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pharmacy Department and ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication services for our patients. Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will perform a variety of technical duties that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced healthcare environment where attention to detail and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Your Schedule

+ Full-time, hourly position

+ Day/evening rotational shift

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

+ Accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the computer system

+ Prepare and label medications for dispensing, including sterile IV admixtures

+ Manage controlled substances in compliance with state and federal regulations

+ Repackage bulk medications and maintain appropriate documentation

+ Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure proper medication storage

+ Restock floor stock, emergency boxes, and code carts as needed

+ Assist with inventory management, ordering, and record-keeping

+ Provide courteous and timely communication to patients, staff, and care teams

+ Support training, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives within the department

What We’re Looking For

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred

+ 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred

+ Knowledge of medical terminology and computer systems helpful

+ Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy

+ Ability to stand for long periods, lift objects, and perform physical tasks as needed

+ Commitment to providing compassionate, customer-focused service
