    Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

     

    Salary Range: $86,320- $115,044

     

    Supervisor candidates must be a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist with at least 5 years of experience in acute care practice, including a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.

     

    Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) is a distinguished teaching hospital located near downtown Dallas and is continually recognized as a top hospital in the nation. BUMC provides multiple clinical specialties, including Level 1 trauma services, transplantation, Level III NICU, left-ventricular assist (LVAD) implantation, Stroke Center and a dedicated cancer hospital. Therapists have the opportunity to rotate positions between teams, providing the opportunity to expand their treatment skills across a variety of diagnoses and to develop clinical specializations.

    Responsibilities

    This position exists to supervise therapy staff at the assigned location(s). Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures. Responsible for efficient operation and financial performance of the assigned location(s). Communicates clinical issues, as they relate to service or program development to the Director/Manager. Carries a modified patient caseload. Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization, with patients and customers.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related credentials)

    + Graduation from an accredited program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech required.

    + Current and valid state licensure as a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist required.(For Speech discipline: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association required.)

    + A minimum of five years experience in a rehab setting required with supervisory experience preferred.

    + Certified BLS completion required; for new hires, see CPR Requirement Guidelines for New Hires.
