If you are interested in growing professionally and are passionate about providing services to Idahoans, join the Division of Behavioral Health as a Clinician in our Coeur d'Alene field office. We are actively looking for qualified individuals to join a high energy, supportive work environment where you will have the opportunity to interact, collaborate, and cooperate with multiple systems including community providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and the courts. The Clinical Services Bureau works to transform Idaho’s behavioral health system through collaboration, building expertise, and advancing clinically excellent care.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Formulates assessments, evaluations, and therapeutic recommendations.
+ Advocates for clients and families.
+ Applies clinical skills to assess clients/family needs.
+ Provides Forensic Services.
+ Coordinates program with other services and community providers.
+ Evaluates treatment effectiveness and client/family outcomes.
+ Serves as a designated examiner and dispositioner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum/specialty qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.
+ A Master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position. (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study) in accordance with Idaho Codes: 54-3206, 54-3402, 54-3405, and 54-3214.
+ Eligible for appointment as a Designated Examiner which requires a master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position AND at least two (2) years post-master’s degree experience in a clinical mental health setting in accordance with Idaho code 66-323, Chapter 3 – Idaho State Legislature (https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/Title66/T66CH3/) (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study) AND requires licensure in a professional specialty in one of the following areas: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3206, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405.
