Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator in a dynamic shop that produces small to mid-size parts for various industries. You will work with surface grinders, OD grinders, and centerless grinding machines. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Operate surface grinders, OD grinders, and centerless grinding machines.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools effectively.

+ Ensure high attention to detail and quality in all tasks.

+ Perform metal finishing, sanding, and deburring as needed.

+ Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating grinding machines is preferred but not required.

+ 1-2 years of experience in blueprint reading.

+ 1-2 years of experience using micrometers and calipers.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

+ Understanding of basic shop math.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in machine operation and production.

+ Schooling plus 6 months of hands-on experience.

+ Ability to work with hand tools and perform polishing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
