Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description
The Operations Manager oversees landfill operations and employees, ensuring safety standards are maintained and goals are set. This role is responsible for the management and training of staff, maintaining relationships with the maintenance department and third-party contractors, and ensuring landfill equipment maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the landfill operations of a business unit by overseeing the activities of the Operations Supervisor, Lead Operators, Operators, and General Laborers.
+ Responsible for the management of staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
+ Develop supervisory goals and objectives and resolve safety issues and claims effectively.
+ Evaluate site and service requirements to develop an effective operational plan in conjunction with the General Manager.
+ Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and equipment maintenance policies, ensuring operations align with permit conditions.
+ Collaborate with management to ensure landfill equipment is properly maintained and new equipment is acquired as needed.
+ Plan and implement operational procedures for waste receiving and disposal, construction projects, and yard maintenance.
+ Oversee the receipt and proper handling of refuse, supervise testing and sampling, and monitor cover material utilization.
+ Monitor and control all liquid and/or gas extraction systems around the landfill site.
+ Establish productivity goals, ensure adherence to operating standards, and manage labor hours and disposal expenses.
+ Oversee safety and accident prevention programs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Looking at $100k
- Bonus – 20% of salary
o OM can easily make 30+k
- With experience maybe up to 130k
