    Job Title: Systems Engineer

    Job Description

    The Systems Engineer will collaborate with customers to develop requirements for complex electro-mechanical systems, focusing on large cabinets containing servers, network equipment, and video transmission components. The role involves system development, design, prototyping, and integration with other systems, including modeling and simulation efforts.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with customers to develop requirements for PDA systems.

    + Make recommendations to optimize and improve systems.

    + Develop prototypes that integrate with other systems.

    + Coordinate and perform additions and changes to hardware and software.

    + Provide direct support in daily hardware and software operations, including system evaluation and monitoring.

    + Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation for new hardware and operating systems.

    + Maintain system design standards.

    + Provide technical guidance and training to engineering staff.

    + Develop and perform systems engineering evaluations and trade studies.

    + Transform customer requirements into specifications.

    + Assist in testing, analysis, and system improvements.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems/Software Engineering (BSEE, Systems, or BSME).

    + 2-10 years of experience with hardware, circuit boards, cabling, connectors, and electro-mechanical devices.

    + Knowledge of ruggedized equipment, video distribution, and transmission.

    + Understanding of overall system architecture.

    + Ability to develop requirements and solutions through customer collaboration.

    + Experience with military or navy projects is a plus.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in systems engineering, electrical engineering, and cabling design.

    + Knowledge of signal processing.

    + Project management and configuration management experience.

    + Environmental qualification and testing.

    + Experience with requirements tracking tools.

    + Flexibility to work in a small systems group and a small/medium-sized company.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00/hr.
