Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerPosition Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to independently develop comprehensive hardware design packages for custom industrial web converting machinery. This role involves close collaboration with Mechanical Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, functional, and compliant solutions that meet customer specifications. The engineer will also support code and compliance certifications, conduct internal quality inspections, and manage project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design electrical and pneumatic panel schematics and create detailed panel layout diagrams.
+ Translate work orders, engineering reviews, and customer requirements into custom panel designs.
+ Conduct code and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to standards such as UL508, UL698A, NEC, and SCCR.
+ Perform quality assurance inspections and generate detailed reports on electrical panels.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
+ Archive and manage project documentation, including design packages and certification records.
Required Qualifications
+ Proven experience in electrical design, industrial control panel design, and panel layout.
+ Strong familiarity with UL508 standards and machine design principles.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
+ Solid understanding of UL508, UL698A, NEC, and SCCR documentation requirements.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with pneumatic design and integration.
+ Ability to conduct and support code and compliance certifications.
+ Experience in automation and hardware design.
+ Strong communication and documentation skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
