    Entry-level Microbiologist

    Job Description

    Join our team as an Entry-level Microbiologist , where you will perform routine analyses and contribute to our cutting-edge research in dietary supplements. Your work will involve setting up samples using various media and dilutions, testing for pathogens such as E.coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, and plating yeast, mold, and total plate counts. You will also have the opportunity to expand your expertise into our Probiotics Lab, focusing on probiotic enumeration and advanced techniques like flow cytometry.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine analysis of dietary supplement samples using various media and dilutions.

    + Test for pathogens including E.coli, Salmonella, and Listeria.

    + Perform plating for yeast, mold, and total plate counts.

    + Train in the Probiotics Lab for probiotic sample enumeration using dilution and plate methods.

    + Utilize flow cytometry for advanced microbiological analysis.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in microbiology and aseptic techniques.

    + Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences such as Microbiology, Biology, or Biochemistry.

    + 0-1+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or food service environment.

    + Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail.

    + Experience with PCR and ELISA testing is advantageous.

    + Competency in using various pipettes, particularly multi-channel electronic pipettes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in food testing or food service is beneficial.

    + Familiarity with media preparation and plating techniques.

    + Ability to verify high attention to detail through references.

    The role is set in a dynamic laboratory environment focused on dietary microbiology and probiotics.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
