Overview:

A leading defense technology company is seeking a strategic and technically proficient leader to serve as the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for advanced missile and sensor systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in real-time simulation environments and multi-disciplinary engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Leadership & Strategy: Drive technical execution and team performance across HWIL development efforts. Shape future capabilities and foster collaboration across engineering disciplines.

+ Technical Oversight: Lead the design, integration, and testing of sensor and missile subsystems in closed-loop simulation environments.

+ Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage multiple product lines with varying technical and contractual requirements.

+ Innovation & R&D: Collaborate with internal research teams to define next-gen HWIL capabilities aligned with evolving mission needs.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering.

+ 5+ years of professional experience in HWIL or sensor test environments.

+ Proven leadership of large, multi-functional engineering teams.

+ Expertise in real-time HWIL integration, simulation, and digital modeling.

+ Strong understanding of systems engineering and verification methodologies.

+ Experience balancing technical and business objectives across multiple programs.

+ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

+ Active Secret clearance.

+ Hands-on experience with hardware testing in lab environments.

Technical Skills (4–6 years preferred):

+ Electrical & Software Troubleshooting

+ Electronic Testing & Hardware Integration

+ Software Engineering & Systems Integration

+ User Acceptance Testing

+ Proposal and Report Writing

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with development programs and cost account management (CAM).

+ Familiarity with RF and IR subsystem design and integration.

+ Experience with real-time simulation using C++.

+ Knowledge of Datalink, GPS, IMUs, and Control Actuation Systems simulation.

+ 1–2 years of experience writing technical proposals and reports.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87.50 - $87.50/hr.
