Job Title: Civil Structural Engineer (Hybrid) - Lake Mary, FL
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to support new project work with a primary focus on civil and structural design elements. The candidate will help lead the design and analysis of civil and structural engineering products, utilizing their expertise to develop innovative solutions for various projects, including support structures, concrete foundations, and enclosure designs.
Responsbilities
+ Perform and review engineering design and structural analysis for steel structures and concrete foundations.
+ Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
+ Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support project proposals and bid strategies.
+ Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.
+ Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical, and commercial requirements.
+ Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.
+ Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates.
+ Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements.
+ Interface with internal and external teams to ensure accurate design interface information for structural commodities.
+ Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality.
+ Represent the company in meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
+ Complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree (BS) in Civil Engineering.
+ Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related engineering field.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
+ Strong familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, OSHA, and industry standards.
+ Experience in structural analysis and design, particularly in the Power or Oil & Gas industry.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and trigonometry.
+ Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with AISC 341, ACI 351, DIN 4024, ISO 1940 is a plus.
+ Experience with gas turbine design, auxiliary systems, nuclear engineering, or foundations for rotating equipment.
+ Familiarity with software such as Smart Plant 3D, Revit, STAAD, SAP2000, GT Strudl, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
+ The civil team currently includes an Engineer I, Engineer II, and a Principal Structural Engineer who is now stepping into a managerial role. We're looking to fill the gap with a strong lead-level candidate to help guide and grow the team, good opportunity if they are looking to grow into leadership.
Work Environment
The work is based in Lake Mary, FL, which serves as the North American headquarters for Plant Engineering. This office is multidisciplinary, involving mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, controls, and project management functions. The team consists of over 100 professionals.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
