    Job Title: Drafter

    Job Description

    The Designer/Drafter is responsible for assisting engineers in designing steel framing for challenge courses and adventure attractions. This role involves creating technical drawings of steel structures and fabrication, working closely with engineers to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to create precise and detailed technical drawings of steel structures, ensuring they meet the specifications for fabrication.

    + Create permit, inspection, and assembly drawings, ensuring timely completion of work orders.

    + Update drawings to address changes requested by the fabrication shop and/or client specifications.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all designs and drawings.

    + Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any drawing-related issues.

    + Assist with R&D drawings and R&D projects with drawings and design input.

    + Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

    + Contribute to the quality control of the project.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate's Degree in Drafting.

    + 4+ years of experience working within the fabrication or manufacturing industry.

    + Experience creating 3D and 2D drawings in Inventor.

    + Experience in designing parts, subassemblies, and/or assembly, welding.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Understanding of welding is a nice-to-have skill.

    Work Environment

    The drafter will report to the Engineering Manager and work within a team comprising four other Mechanical Engineers and one drafter.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
