Job Title: Applications Developer
Job Description
We are seeking a self-motivated Application Developer who thrives in complex business and technical environments with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and apply deep expertise to define scope, design, develop, and test application software solutions. This role requires strong collaboration skills, excellent organization, and the ability to communicate effectively with both local and remote teams.
Responsibilities
+ Provide technical direction for the development, integration, and testing of complex software systems, including requirements analysis and functional reviews.
+ Translate client requirements into new application features and define test plans to ensure system reliability.
+ Collaborate with development teams and IT staff to establish system, interface, and architecture standards.
+ Evaluate emerging technologies to support solution design aligned with architectural direction.
+ Coordinate development activities to ensure integration with other IT systems and environments.
+ Align application development with business goals, IT standards, departmental strategy, SLAs, and budget considerations.
+ Manage defect resolution processes and system performance issues.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate data security policies, including NERC and SOX standards.
+ Provide 24x7 system support, including availability outside traditional business hours as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Oracle NMS (Network Management System) preferably 4+years
+ It is used for storm management and restoration activities
+ Java programming experience
+ Ability to be flexible on schedule (Will be working on call 1 week a month)
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with both local and remote teams. The role requires providing 24x7 system support and may require availability outside traditional business hours. The position demands proficiency in using technologies such as Oracle databases, PL/SQL, SQL, and familiarity with LAN/WAN features and functionality.
Job Type & Location
This is a fully remote contract position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83.33 - $100.00/hr.
