Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Plant Maintenance Technician will ensure plant production equipment continues to operate safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will utilize their skills to reduce unwanted downtime. We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented candidates with strong multi-tasking and time-management proficiency. Candidates must be able to analyze and troubleshoot electrical, automation, mechanical, and operational problems on equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot equipment failure and mechanical/electrical issues on a day-to-day basis.
+ Adjust, repair, or replace the correct part using power or hand tools as appropriate.
+ Perform minor electrical maintenance if needed.
+ Monitor production for any physical, mechanical, electrical improvements, changes, or repairs.
+ Respond to maintenance/facility emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol.
+ Follow all OSHA, HAZMAT, USDA, FDA, and EPA rules and regulations.
+ Complete PMs based on direction given from Maintenance Supervisor/Engineering Manager.
+ Work and assist with implementing and following preventive maintenance (CMMS system) schedule.
+ Organize and maintain work area to follow 5S.
+ Assist in maintenance of building and facilities as needed.
+ Perform minor plumbing maintenance if needed.
+ Assist in troubleshooting HVAC and Boiler systems.
+ Monitor facilities for any repairs and improvements.
Essential Skills
+ At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot equipment failure and mechanical/electrical issues on a day-to-day basis.
+ Willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule.
+ Minor electrical experience.
+ Basic knowledge of OSHA and Food Safety regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior food manufacturing experience.
+ TIG/MIG welding knowledge and experience.
+ Prior experience with form fill seal machines and bottling machines.
+ Formal training (certification) in a mechanical-industrial-related trade.

Work Environment
This position operates in a food manufacturing facility located in Federal Way, WA. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7 AM - 12 PM and 12 PM - 5 PM. Employees will work in a production environment where safety and cleanliness are prioritized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FEDERAL WAY, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
