Job Title: Chemical Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Chemical Operator where you will play a crucial role in the accurate weighing and mixing of chemicals using digital scales, pumps, filtration systems, and manual valves. You will interface with process control software (FAS) to monitor processes and ensure quality control. This position involves preparing, filtering, and sampling chemicals following detailed recipes and engineering requirements. You will also manage inventory and handle hazardous waste management responsibly.
Responsibilities
+ Accurately weigh and mix chemicals using digital scales, pumps, filtration systems, and manual valves.
+ Perform chemical process operations using process control software (FAS) for data input and monitoring.
+ Prepare, filter, and sample chemicals according to recipes and engineering requirements.
+ Complete necessary paperwork and electronic documentation for all processes.
+ Assist in inventory management, including monthly cycle counts and material ordering.
+ Operate both manual and automatic bottle fillers in a clean room environment.
+ Manage hazardous waste, including handling, labeling, disposal, and record keeping.
+ Package, label, and document finished products using computerized label printing machines.
+ Operate bottle washing and sterilization systems.
+ Assist in training fellow associates as a certified operator.
+ Make suggestions for process improvements and work safely by observing safety rules and identifying unsafe conditions.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production, chemical mixing, and chemical manufacturing.
+ Ability to operate high-tech machinery for chemical batch production.
+ Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety consciousness.
+ Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
+ Experience with operational instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
+ Hands-on experience with chemical machinery and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with process control software (FAS) and application software such as Excel and Word.
+ Adaptability to changing work conditions and processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
