PURPOSE/SCOPE:
Assistant Materials Manager is part of Materials Management plant team responsible for procurement of raw materials, production planning, inventory control and shipping teams in the North America plants. The Assistant Materials Manager will lead and complete monthly Sales and Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP), and work collaboratively with Business Unit, Global Supply, Operations and Finance leadership ensuring SIOP cycle completion. This individual will also be responsible for the direct management and leadership of the Production Planning and Inventory Control Teams. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and/or leading Materials Continuous Improvement initiatives.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for compiling SIOP monthly data and working with Business Unit, Global Supply, Operations and Finance on alignment and consensus for the future months’ production plans.
+ Reporting out on SIOP and preparing executive SIOP decks.
+ Responsible for inventory level reporting and forecasting for annual and monthly forecast, reporting out and driving actions for optimal inventory levels.
+ Leading and collaborating with stakeholders on Materials department process improvements and continuous improvement projects.
+ Learn and maintain knowledge of all materials department functions, lead and coordinate training efforts for the department.
+ Leads and manages Materials Team.
+ Assist in metric development and drive accountability.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration required.
+ Lean and/or Six Sigma Continuous certified, and/or 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement projects.
+ Prior Sales and Operations Planning experience preferred.
+ Prior Supervisory and/or Management experience required.
+ Prior SAP experience required.

**Pay Details:** $90,000.00 per year
