    Production Operator/Worker

    Entry-Level Metal Finishing Technician – 1st Shift (Temp-to-Hire)

    **Location:** Westbrook, ME

    Pay:** Starting at $20/hour — **room for growth based on performance & training

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM

     

    _Optional Overtime:_ Occasional Saturday mornings (4 hours)

     

    Are you looking to grow your career in manufacturing with hands-on training and advancement opportunities? We’re hiring a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented **Entry-Level Metal Finishing Technician** to join our 1st shift team in Westbrook, ME.

     

    This is a **temp-to-hire opportunity** with full-time hours, on-the-job training, and the potential to become a **silver plating specialist** after permanent hire. If you’re dependable, take pride in your work, and want to build real skills in the metal finishing industry, we want to meet you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform **metal finishing tasks** such as:

    + Racking and un-racking parts

    + Sandblasting and buffing

    + Washing, cleaning, and masking components

    + Wiring parts for plating

    + Operate **buffing and polishing machinery** safely and effectively

    + Set up and maintain equipment, including changing wheels and cleaning machines

    + Inspect, clean, and test products before and after the plating process

    + Assemble wire racks and prepare parts for silver plating

    + Package completed products and prepare for shipment (labeling, boxing)

    + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

    + Follow all **safety procedures** , company policies, and work instructions

    + Communicate any production issues or delays to supervisor

    + Ensure all production and quality deadlines are met

    + **No prior experience needed** — just a willingness to learn and work hard!

    + Self-motivated and dependable, with a desire to grow within the company

    + Strong **attention to detail** and ability to handle small or delicate parts

    + Able to **follow instructions, safety protocols** , and quality standards

    + Comfortable working in a **manufacturing/production environment**

    + Good basic math, reading, and writing skills

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with your team

    + Able to **lift, carry, and move parts** and equipment as needed

    **Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
