• Environmental Service Worker

    An Environmental Service Worker position in Newark, NJ is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will keep patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and in an orderly condition.

     

    **Contract type:** temp-hire

    **Work hours:** Monday-Friday from either 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm and every other weekend required.

    **Hourly pay rate:** $21.06/hr.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Keeps patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and in an orderly condition.

     

    Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, showers, laboratories, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other areas as assigned using approved cleaners and hospital approved germicide.

     

    Keeps utility and storage rooms in neat orderly condition.

     

    Transport trash and waste to disposal area.

     

    Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using required products and equipment.

     

    Stock custodial closet with cleaning supplies, paper products and plastic linens.

    Qualifications:

    Cleaning experience highly preferred

     

    Good work history and attendance

    Work Environment:

    Position requires exposure to blood-borne pathogens that require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), exposure to dust, fumes or airborne particles, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
