    General Job Description: Project Manager (Process Piping Focused)

     

    The Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, managing process piping sales, and coordinating field labor needs for assigned projects in partnership with field leadership. This individual will represent the organization with sound judgment and discretion, demonstrating a high level of commitment to both the work and overall business objectives.

    **Location** : Sacramento, CA

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Project Management

    + Serve as the single point of responsibility to both the organization and the client.

    + Perform project management functions to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, estimating, proposals, and meetings leading to successful job completion.

    + Manage contracts including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.

    + Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing between the client and field leadership.

    Financial Management

    + Forecast, prepare budget projections, and control costs within agreed-upon limits.

    + Draft proposals, contracts, change orders, and other documentation to ensure sound business practices and legal protection.

    + Oversee billing and maintain clear understanding of job costs.

    Relationship Building

    + Lead client meetings, develop contracts, and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.

    + Provide leadership and coordination across internal departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service.

    + Contribute to committees or special studies to advance technical abilities in engineering, estimating, and installation procedures.

    Communication

    + Consult with management and department leaders on project needs.

    + Participate in project management, sales, and construction meetings.

    + Schedule and coordinate project kickoff meetings with department heads and supervisors.

    Resource Utilization & Mentoring

    + Leverage staff from multiple departments to fulfill customer requirements.

    + Provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle and coordinate assigned employees to meet project goals.

    + Act as a mentor to junior staff and participate in recruiting, training, and coaching initiatives.

    + Perform other duties or special assignments as directed by leadership.

    Position Requirements

    + BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).

    + 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of process piping projects ranging from $50,000 to $25+ million.

    + Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity.

    + Proven track record of business development and client engagement.

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of issues.

    + Active involvement in industry or community-based organizations preferred.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

    + Experience with business systems software such as JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, or Smartsheet preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit.

    + Frequent use of hands for computer work and handling materials.

    + Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, particularly during job site visits.

    + Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision.

    + Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

    + Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to drive required.

    + Regular and reliable attendance expected.

     

    Hours

     

    Monday to Friday, typically between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, with flexibility based on project needs.

     

    Travel

     

    Travel to job sites, Branch offices, and client meetings as required.

    Compensation

    $110,000 to $147,000 annual salary. Final compensation depends on factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and work location. Total compensation includes more than base salary alone.

     

    **Pay Details:** $110,000.00 to $147,000.00 per year
