The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in patient care by supporting providers in delivering efficient, compassionate, and comprehensive services. From intake to follow-up, you’ll ensure each patient receives the highest level of care and attention during their visit.
Job Description:
+ Greet and prepare patients for exams and treatments
+ Collect vitals, perform clinical intake, and document accurately in real time
+ Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
+ Administer medications as ordered by the provider (if certified)
+ Perform administrative duties including insurance verification, copay collection, and scheduling
+ Ensure patient safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, AHMG policies)
+ Travel to nearby satellite offices, if required
+ Support the mission and values in every interaction
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program
+ Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following:
+ AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA
+ Current CPR certification
+ Strong communication, multitasking, and EMR documentation skills
