Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

This position is for a Machine Mechanic within a rebuilding and job shop environment, focused on custom machine building.

The role involves evaluating machines, breaking them down, determining root causes of malfunctions, problem-solving, repairing, and rebuilding equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repair of used packaging equipment to ensure machines operate productively.

+ Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers, as well as power tools like power drills and impacts.

+ Read and interpret tape measures when necessary.

+ Engage in fabrication and production tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, machine builder, or custom automotive mechanic/fabricator.

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

+ Experience in machine assembly and repair.

+ Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

+ Blueprint and schematic reading skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school graduate or trade school education is preferred.

+ Ability to work off verbal instructions and understand blueprints is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
