Job Title: Mig Welder

Job Description

The Mig Welder will be responsible for completing welding of prefabricated assemblies, setting up welding machines independently for any process or material thickness, and operating a variety of fabrication equipment such as plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses. This role requires the ability to fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints.

Responsibilities

+ Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies.

+ Set up welding machines independently for any process or material thickness.

+ Operate a variety of fabrication equipment including plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses.

+ Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of welding experience.

+ Proficiency in MIG welding (GMAW) and Flux core welding (FCAW).

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with stainless steel fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of other fabrication equipment like plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses.

+ Ability to fabricate complex assemblies unassisted.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled fabrication shop, which may get hot. The shop is equipped with newer welding and fabrication equipment.

Normal Shift hours:

6am-2:30 Monday - Friday

During peak periods

6am-4:30pm plus Saturdays when needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
