    We are seeking a skilled cook to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare food according to recipes and customer directions, and create custom recipes independently.

    + Assist with food production, including cooking duties.

    + Participate in food preparation and portioning prior to service by cutting and cleaning a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins.

    + Produce food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events.

    + Follow all recipes and guidelines while meeting customer demand at any given moment.

    + Ensure consistent quality on all product items.

    + Taste all food prepared for stations to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality.

    + Maintain a clean and organized station.

    + Maintain kitchen equipment.

    + Follow proper rotation and storage of goods, including proper labeling, stocking of ingredients, and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a line cook with specialized and creative recipes.

    + Ability to independently cook with no set menu.

    + Customer service orientation.

    + Proficient in recipe creation and execution.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 1+ year in the coffee service industry.

    + 2+ years in the customer service industry.

    + Experienced and comfortable with working busy shifts.

    + Friendly, outgoing, and dedicated to outstanding customer service.

    + Tidy, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented.

    + Passionate about product quality.

    Work Environment

     

    Located in San Francisco, CA, this position offers a pay rate between $29/hr and $32/hr based on experience. The shifts are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with opportunities for PM event-based work. The role is a contractor-to-hire position, working alongside a head chef, a prep cook, and a dishwasher, in an environment that hosts top executives and celebrities.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00/hr.
