Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Associate where you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in our production facility. You will ensure the area is free from debris and assist in various operations including the bagging process and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

+ Perform general cleanup and ensure the load-out plant area is free of material and debris.

+ Empty trash cans weekly from the office and plant area.

+ Assist production personnel in cleaning different areas of the plant as necessary.

+ Operate bagging equipment to bag and palletize materials.

+ Perform pre-start checks of equipment and fill out required forms or inspections.

+ Load trucks with bagged material ensuring correct product placement on each truck.

+ Operate a forklift and complete daily mobile equipment logs.

+ Conduct quality testing and accurately log analysis on pick slips.

+ Inspect all trucks and railcars before loading and comply with safety practices.

+ Install and record seals in rail books and order pick slips on all rail cars.

+ Load vehicles evenly with materials to proper weights.

+ Maintain cleanliness of loading areas and complete rail car/truck checklists.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and packaging.

+ Proficiency in operating bagging equipment and forklifts.

+ Ability to work 2nd shift and perform quality inspections.

+ Familiarity with general production processes and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to inspect and prepare trucks and railcars for loading.

+ Experience with material handling and loading operations.

Work Environment

The work environment includes shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 11 PM. It is a physically demanding setting with some dirty conditions, requiring the use of equipment like shovels, skid steers, and forklifts. The facility handles raw materials like coal slag and involves processes such as screening and crushing. Dress code includes appropriate safety gear for a production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pawnee, Il.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
