Our client, a respected and established Denver-based law firm, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional services environment and wants to take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations while being part of a stable, collegial team.

What You’ll Do:

+ Take the lead on billing, accounts receivable, and collections – you’ll be the go-to person ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

+ Partner with the Accounting and operational leadership on month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.

+ Pitch in with accounts payable, payroll, and ad hoc projects to keep everything running smoothly.

+ Build relationships with attorneys and staff as the key accounting point of contact.

+ Support process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of the accounting function.

What We’re Looking For:

+ BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business (experience can be considered in lieu of degree).

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in professional services or law firm environment.

+ Solid background in billing, AR, and collections with exposure to AP, payroll, and reporting.

+ Strong systems skills – experience with law firm billing/accounting software is a plus.

+ Someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable being the primary day-to-day accountant.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; equivalent experience may be considered.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a detail-oriented services or law firm setting.

• Strong expertise in billing operations, accounts receivable, and collections.

• Familiarity with accounts payable, payroll procedures, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and accounting software; experience with law firm-specific systems is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
