Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting practices. As part of the leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic financial planning and operational success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with detailed general ledger reports.

• Oversee daily banking operations, including accounts receivable entries and reconciliations.

• Manage corporate state and federal tax reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

• Maintain accurate fixed asset accounts and update associated software as needed.

• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, facilitating year-end audits and providing necessary support.

• Ensure proper categorization of expenditures and analyze cash flow to address potential concerns.

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for accounts receivable and fixed assets.

• Provide backup support for payroll processing when required.

• Generate and review internal corporate financial statements on a monthly and annual basis.

• Collaborate with financial institutions to prepare and submit required reports. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with at least 10 years of related experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to adapt quickly to accounting software systems.

• Proven experience in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

• Demonstrated expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines with accuracy.

• Familiarity with corporate income tax, sales tax, and federal tax reporting.

• Prior experience in logistics or distribution industries is highly desirable.
