    Description

    Our non-profit client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a dynamic organization based in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a PART ITME contract position that requires a proactive individual to manage a backlog of external audits. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while working closely with a small, dedicated team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee financial audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations for a non-profit entity.

    • Manage accounting functions for multiple companies, including bank reconciliations and tracking restricted vs. non-restricted contributions.

    • Organize and maintain financial documentation, including both electronic files and physical records.

    • Prepare and classify expenses by function for non-profit reporting purposes.

    • Collaborate with the charity director to support ad-hoc projects and operational needs.

    • Provide necessary audit documentation and assist in coordinating audit procedures.

    • Work on-site 10 to 20 hours a week, contributing to a structured and collaborative environment.

    • Support the team in achieving financial targets and operational goals.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in accounting management, preferably in a non-profit setting.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with other accounting software systems.

    • Strong understanding of financial audits and compliance requirements.

    • Experience with classifying expenses by function for non-profit organizations.

    • Excellent organizational skills for handling both electronic and physical financial documentation.

    • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial services tools.

    • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with team members and stakeholders.
