    The anticipated salary range for this role is between $73,000.00 and $98,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

    IT Desktop Engineer-Associate

     

    The IT Desktop Engineer will be responsible for managing servers, applications, phone systems, and both Mac and Windows computers. This role also includes overseeing printing services to ensure seamless operations across the organization.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Monitor and maintain server performance, security, and availability.

    + Install, configure, and troubleshoot various applications.

    + Ensure application updates and patches are applied in a timely manner.

    + Provide technical support for Windows and Mac computers.

    + Resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.

    + Manage and support VoIP and traditional phone systems.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve phone system issues.

    + Oversee the management and maintenance of printing devices.

    + Ensure printers are operational and troubleshoot any printing issues.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, configurations, and changes.

    + Create user guides and training materials as needed.

    + Work closely with other IT team members to ensure cohesive operations.

    + Assist in IT projects and initiatives as required.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + Proven experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role.

    + Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.

    + Experience with server management (Windows Server, Linux, etc.).

    + Familiarity with VoIP phone systems and printing technologies.

    + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)
