    Paramedic Night Shift

    Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth, TX 76104.

     

    Work hours: 3-night shifts per week full-time, 7:00PM to 7:00AM and includes rotating weekends and holidays.

     

    Here's What You Need

    Education:

    High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

    Experience:

    Three (3) months recent Paramedic experience or completion of a Paramedic Internship is required.

     

    One (1) year of Paramedic experience is preferred.

     

    Licenses and Certifications

     

    EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required

     

    LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire required

     

    ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required,

     

    BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required.

     

    PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days of hire required.

     

    CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required.

     

    Skills

     

    Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

    Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific, developmental and diversity needs of the patient.

     

    Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off.

     

    Other duties as appropriately delegated by RN.

    Professional Development

     

    Participates in change; understands, promotes, and values ed evidence-based practices, quality improvement, and/or research, and utilizes them in practice; follows guidelines and recommendations defined by regulatory or professional practice agencies. Provides daily care that achieves outcome targets for core measures, NPSG, employee satisfaction, patient satisfaction, NDNQI and other unit/organizational metrics; demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning and development; demonstrates a commitment to advancing the professional practice of paramedicine; incorporates ethical principles from the Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Code of Ethics.

     

    KPIs Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to: Patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performance, organizational effectiveness and community health care.
