Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Engineer – Role Summary

The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in translating cloud strategy into secure, scalable, and cost- efficient technical implementations. This individual will focus on designing and deploying cloud- native solutions, primarily in Microsoft Azure, while adhering to DevSecOps principles and site reliability engineering (SRE) best practices.

• Key Focus Areas:

o Cloud Architecture & Engineering

o Design and implement cloud-native applications aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework

o Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform, Azure DevOps, and other IaC tools

o Build and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments

• Site Reliability & Monitoring

o Develop and execute strategies for high availability and reliability across digital platforms

o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize environments for performance and cost

o Implement 24x7 monitoring and incident response processes

• DevOps & Automation

o Automate provisioning and deployment pipelines ("pipeline engineering")

o Support CI/CD practices and embed with development teams to guide cloud adoption

o Champion practices like Trunk-Based Development, TDD/ATDD, and policy-as-code

• Collaboration & Leadership

o Act as a cloud SME, guiding teams on standards, governance, and best practices

o Partner with architecture, platform, and automation teams to align on delivery and enablement

o Lead proof-of-concepts and evaluate emerging technologies for future adoption

• Governance & Compliance

o Drive cloud governance through compliance automation and policy-as-code

o Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience:

o 7–10 years in an IT environment

o 5–7 years of cloud development and support (Azure, AWS, GCP)

o 2–3 years in the consumer banking industry (preferred)

• Technical Skills:

o Kubernetes expertise

o Required: AKS, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure App Service, Azure Function App Service,

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
