The School of Educations seeks an instructor to teach SWK 602 M001 38989: Fundamentals of Social Work Practice II (3 credits).
Description:
Design, implementation, and evaluation of intervention strategies in social work practice. Intervention with individuals, families, and groups in the context of agencies, organizations, and communities.
This course is designed to help students to understand how programs, organizations, systems, and communities shape service accessibility and delivery in the context of practice. It is also designed to prompt students to think about how to identify factors influencing clients/constituents and act strategically within these institutions to advance social justice. This course examines the strengths of diverse communities in relation to best practices. Attention is given to assessing community and organizational assets and needs, as well as engaging in policy advocacy. Building upon Social Work Practice I, students will use class discussion, exercises, and projects to develop the knowledge necessary to apply macro skills in their social work practice.
