Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a Senior Accountant – Mutual Fund Financial reporting analyst with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Mutual Fund Financial Reporting Analyst with a strong background in mutual fund accounting and regulatory reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in the investment company industry and will play a critical role in the preparation, oversight, and validation of regulatory filings and shareholder reports for mutual funds, life, and annuity products. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and other financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the production and review of annual and semi-annual shareholder reports, prospectuses, SAIs, and NSARs for mutual funds, life insurance, and annuity products.

+ Ensure all financial reports and filings meet SEC and regulatory requirements in both content and timing.

+ Provide direction and oversight to accounting teams involved in preparing financial statements for mutual funds, annuities, and life products.

+ Validate annual and semiannual financial reports, including:

+ Notes to financial statements

+ Schedules of investments

+ Performance calculations

+ Supporting work papers and disclosures

+ Conduct thorough reviews of financial/accounting data to ensure accuracy in shareholder reports.

+ Coordinate with external auditors, tax teams, legal, internal audit, graphics vendors, and product management during the report preparation and filing process.

+ Participate in audit review sessions, providing necessary support and issue resolution to facilitate timely audit completion.

+ Play a critical role in the audit confirmation process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete to support external audit sign-off before regulatory deadlines.

+ Assist in the implementation of new retail products and share classes, ensuring all financial reporting processes and documentation align with product launches.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $40-$70 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
