Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Watch Commander, duties of this position include maintaining a safe environment for the University community by way of patrol (foot and vehicular) of buildings, grounds, parking lots, off-campus facilities and city streets within our jurisdiction.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
High school diploma or GED , successful completion of 400+hours of police academy training from a State of IL certified program and one year of related experience. Licenses: State of Illinois certified firearms training; a current F.O.I.D. card and a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
+ Requires prior police experience in a recognized armed police department.
+ Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Must pass an extensive background investigation, drug screening, and psychological test.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Successful completion of 400+hours of police academy training from a State of IL certified program and State Full-Time Police Certification
+ One year of related experience.
+ State of Illinois certified firearms training
+ A current F.O.I.D. card and a valid driver’s license.
