**Preferred Skills and Experience:** Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience or ability to operate a baler and conveyor systems; training offered onsite. Plant maintenance knowledge is a plus. Minimum of two years of experience as a Lead or Supervisor. Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

**Licenses/Certifications:** Must be able to operate forklift and loader; training and certifications are offered onsite.

**Shift:** Monday - Thursday, start at 2:00 pm; Friday, start at 1:00 pm; some exceptions based upon business needs

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, supervises daily operations of a material recycling facility (MRF) in order to improve production, maintain costs, and ensure safety.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

+ Under general supervision, manages daily (plant) operations, focuses on safety, quality of work and individual performance.

+ Maintains inventory of supplies for safety and operations.

+ Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness, and quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.

+ Manages logistics and materials; supervises daily production; enters finished goods into inventory; orders supplies, as needed.

+ Supervises production staff, coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals.

+ Oversees personnel needs, including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.

+ Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

+ Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures.

+ Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.

+ On the production floor, approximately, 90% of each day, walking, standing, identifying jams and physically getting into screens to remove them.

+ Operates forklift, loader, baler, and conveyor system.

+ Other duties as assigned

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non-supervisory employees. This includes:

+ Direct supervision of, approximately, 15 full-time employees including: Sr. Sorters, Sorters, Plant Lead, Cleaners / Laborers, Forklift Operator, Baler Operator

+ Indirect supervision of, approximately, 3 full-time employees, including: Plant Maintenance Technicians.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

+ Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)

+ Experience: Four (4) years of relevant work experience

+ None Required

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

+ Equipment operating and supervisory experience may be required.
