Salary: $1812 / Week
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a deep understanding of history, geography, civics, and cultures, while helping students make meaningful connections between the past and present.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction in social studies, including U.S. history, world history, geography, government, and current events.
+ Create a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, respectful discussion, and inquiry-based learning.
+ Build strong relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
+ Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
+ Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support school-wide goals and student success.
+ Integrate technology, primary sources, and project-based learning to enhance student engagement.
+ Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with families.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education, History, Political Science, or a related field.
+ Valid teaching license/certification for middle school social studies (as required by state or district).
+ One year of teaching experience preferred, especially in a middle school setting.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ Completion of TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
