Director of Investigations
NetApp is seeking an experienced Director of Investigations responsible for developing and implementing a strategic, comprehensive, and supportive Investigations program. This role reports to the Senior Director Global Employment Legal and will play a crucial part in elevating the investigation function, leading the team investigating employee relations and compliance matters.
You’ll serve as a strategic thought partner to Legal, senior leadership, and HRBPs on global investigations strategy, misconduct trends, and risk mitigation advice.

Key Responsibilities
+ Establish a strategic vision for a high-impact Investigations function by defining success metrics, obtaining relevant data, and streamlining processes
+ Develop and establish consistent case management processes to drive accountability and operational excellence.
+ Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented strategies, optimizing outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
+ Lead a high-performing investigations team, fostering professional growth, subject matter expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to support a transformed and strategic investigations function.
+ Champion a culture of integrity, respect, and belonging by leading investigations with fairness and accountability, while modeling inclusive leadership
+ Stay current on legal, regulatory, and industry trends related to workplace investigations, ethics and compliance, and employment, and continuously evolve practices to reflect best-in-class standards.
+ Provide guidance and support to managers and department leaders on remedial measures (e.g., discipline, controls, etc.) and de-escalation options (e.g., conflict resolution, difficult conversations, etc
Key Qualifications
+ Experience leading the development and elevation of a strategic Investigations function.
+ Minimum of 10+ years overall experience in related fields, with a deep background in investigations.
+ Significant experience with formal investigations other conflict resolution strategies, with the ability to maintain confidentiality, legal privilege, handle sensitive information with discretion, approach matters impartially, and manage complex misconduct issues.
+ Hands-on investigations experience, including employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation.
+ Proven ability designing and administering scalable investigations processes and programs.
+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships, work cross-functionally, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
+ Proven ability to de-escalate high-stakes matters and deliver difficult messages with clarity and empathy.
+ Proven experience in promoting a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and clarity throughout the investigative process
+ Proven experience leading a high-performing team. including direct oversight of individual contributors.
+ Working knowledge of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, wage & hour, grey market, conflict of interest, corruption, bribery, gifts & entertainment and other employment and compliance principles. Global experience is a plus
+ BA degree or equivalent required.
+ Law degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
Compensation:The target salary range for this position is 195,500-291500 . The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
